Summer Internship 2018
The majority of the internship will focus on assisting with the editing process for our current documentary about young jazz musicians in Cuba. This will include organizing and logging media, preparing footage for transcription, and entering in subtitles. As such, strong skills in media management and Adobe Premiere Pro are desired.
If interested, there are also opportunities to also learn about and support other projects, including work on our impact campaign for our Netflix documentary End Game, and research and development support for upcoming projects. The 2018 Summer internship is an unpaid position. The intern will work closely with the Executive Assistant/Office Manager.
Qualities we are looking for include:
Versed in Adobe Premiere Pro and strong media management skills
Independent self-starter with a strong interest in filmmaking
Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite, Google Docs
Strong organization and administrative skills (project management, time management, attention to detail and ability to multi-task)
Highly organized, skilled in creating systems and using systems already in place
A professional manner, good communication skills in person, on the phone, by email
Compensation and Term:
Two - Three days/week, 8 weeks beginning June 2018; negotiable start / end dates
Must be eligible to receive academic credit
Daily travel stipend (we are located in North Beach in San Francisco)
